My nephew, Emerson approached me with the idea of introducing an awareness and fundraising "Car for Cancer" to the world of motorsports. This is an incredible opportunity for him to create awareness to millions of people who are all in some way touched by cancer, and to give them a simple and effective way to help the cause that affects us all globally.

As a breast cancer "thriver" of 16 years, I attribute this to early detection and swift treatment. One of my passions in life is to encourage other women to self-examine on a regular basis. To do this, I have developed the “Liv Aid” breast self-examination aid. This unique tool, along with annual clinical exams and annual mammograms starting at the age of 40, will give a woman the best chance of living a full and healthy life. My goal and my dream is to have a “Liv Aid” in every household in the world in the not-to-distant future.

With his “Full Speed 2 a Cure” campaign, I know Emerson's efforts can help speed up the process of getting us one step (or in this case, one lap) closer to finding a cure for cancer.
